Megan Ortiz is a sixth generation Houstonian, mother of two, and commercial aerospace professional. Megan resides in Houston, Texas where she serves as the Senior Director of External Relations at Axiom Space, a commercial aerospace startup focused on building the next generation spacesuit, operating end-to-end missions to the International Space Station for 11 nations and counting, and constructing the successor to ISS. Leading External Relations, Megan is charged with cultivating strategic relationships that will enable Axiom Space to pursue space exploration that benefits every human, everywhere. Megan is a German Marshall Fund Marshall Memorial Fellow, a graduate of Leadership Houston Class 35, a member of the Board of Directors for Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership, NASA Little League, as well as Texas Dance Hall Preservation, and serves on the Speakers Committee for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. She has received many awards throughout her career including Houston Business Journal 40 Under 40 and Women to Watch, in addition to being named 50 Most Influential Women by Houston Women’s Magazine.
